Best tour guide ever! Ian was the greatest and welcomed all questions. He gave us great tips for the rest of our trip and made the day extremely entertaining. Our driver Milo was was full of local information and had a good sense of humor. I can’t say enough about how much i would recommend this company. If you want the best day with amazing people for great price go with them !!!!!!! A+++++++

Walking down Kalakaua with an 8 year old and a desire to be as touristy as possible we weren’t exactly a hard sale. All we wanted was to swim with turtles. What I couldn’t have imagined was how entertaining this tour would be thanks to our guide Mark and driver Casey. The day began at 7:46am. We were the first pick up with another family that had gotten mixed up on time. It was endearing to watch Mark plan around the mistake instead of saying too bad so sad. Not a bad first impression and a scene no one else on our tour saw.

This tour is a must! Being the first time in Hawaii we didn’t know what to expect but we’re excited to find out!
We booked a private tour and were blessed with a great tour guide named Raul that made the experience even more worth the while! Great personality, lots of enthusiasm and energy, stacks of knowledge and super genuine! He took us to so many places around the island, explained everything and anything and got involved when we went snorkelling.

We booked this trip via our hotel rep with North Shore Hawaii Turtle Tours and we’re lucky enough to have Mark as our very entertaining and knowledgable guide and Robert as our excellent driver. The minibus was smart and comfortable, although there was mention of it being downgraded if the group was too small.
The trip takes you around all the beauty spots along the North Shore with frequent stops to stretch legs and take in the scenery.

It pissed down. All day. Like, proper monsoon style (perhaps slight exaggeration).
That said, we had the best time. We managed to get in a stop at the most beautiful beach before the heavens opened, and our guide Raul put in so much effort and enthusiasm to make sure we enjoyed ourselves despite the crappy weather.
All the stops were great, including lunch at the shrimp trucks which other advisors have slammed. $15 for fresh seafood? In Australia we call that a bargain. Huddling under an awning stuffing our faces with delicious “shrimps” (prawns, people, they’re prawns) while rain hammered down around us was a nice bonding moment. While we ate, Raul made ponchos out of garbage bags (I promised I wouldn’t mention it, but it was so funny/thoughtful) so we could get out of the car without getting drenched.
